Yet Another Shop is Closing

Margaret wrote me last night that yet another shop is closing.  This time it is Exclamation Point! in Saratoga, CA.  The owner Dee wants to retire--and at her age!  (80)

Dee is going to celebrate her 81st birthday next September 17 with a wild closing celebration and sale from 1-5 p.m. that day.  The final day the shop will be open is September 30th.  But Dee promises a great new adventure at her website (under construction as we speak) as a Needlepoint Consultant.  She's going to figure out what that is later in the year.  So bookmark the shop and check occasionally to see what adventures she is up to.  And don't forget to check in with the shop before the end of September if you can to thank Dee for her years of service as a shop owner catering to our every stitching need.

Donna Goes on a Road Trip, Jane Scores Master Enabler Points

Donna heard about the big sale this month at Canvases Be Gone and scored a few delights.  (Five enabling points to me!).  She's also been on a road trip to visit Bedecked and Beaddazzled, which is Ruth Schmuff's shop in the northern Baltimore suburbs.

Wait a minute?  The shop has a leopard print rug?!

Then Donna and friends headed to Threads and Needles of Ruxton and then they continued on to the Stitching Post.  It sounds like a fabulous day.

Someday I may do a road trip of my own....
