Classes and Teachers and Fun

Both Bedecked and Beaddazzled and Needle Works are showing off class pieces on their blogs. Anne-Marie Winter is going to teach her lovely bamboo leaf and water "Oriental Reflections" kimono for Ruth Schmuff's shop...

....while Cassie Prescott of Sundance is going to teach the Mexican sampler Oaxaca at Needle Works. (Love that grasshopper!) If you are going to be in the Austin area when the Cassie is teaching, I hope you can take her class.  Anne-Marie's class is a cyberclass, which means you can take it sitting in your stitching chair at home.

Either way, these are great opportunities to study with wonderful stitchers.  Remember, I expect a full report!

The Ornament Collection

The owner of Chapel Hill Needlepoint stitches a series of Christmas ornaments for her son each year. She's posted them on her blog and they make a wonderful display or what he's interested in during various years.

Atlantis Rising Spectacular

Liz Morrow has been pilot stitching one of the ANG Seminar pieces for 2012--Ro Pace's Atlantis Rising. It is an amazing mix of bargello and the "string art" style of stitching that Jean Hilton created.  Do click on the small photo for a better look.

The classes ANG will offer for this fall's Seminar can be browsed here.  Atlantis Rising is one of the four day classes if you want more details on this amazing design and compare Ro's original to the changes Liz made in hers.
