And the Winner Is.... UPDATED

I promised last week to draw names from commentators to my article about Brenda Hart's It's In the Bag book. This little spiral bound book is all about twenty purse canvases from The Red Thread and how to stitch them, with stitch guides by Brenda herself.  The book has a great photo of each finished purse and a succinct stitch guide for each.  If you are a purse fan, you need this book.

I listed all the names of those who entered and went to Random.org and drew a number.  The winner is the MN Stitcher!

Please send your snail mail address to me at chilly hollow at hot mail dot com and I'll drop my It's In the Bag in the mail to you next week.  After all, I am not a purse collector and this great little book needs a home where it will be read often and cherished.

Many thanks to everyone who expressed interest in this book.  I wish I had a copy for all of you.  In the meantime here are all the purse canvases.  Just keep clicking Next.  There are actually 42 of them but only half made it into the book.

By the way, here's another photo of one of the purses from the book, stitched by Dale who is working on the 4th of July flag bag from the book right now.

The Stitched iPhone Cover

Scarlet Thread has the new iPhone covers in stock.  They come in black or white with patterns you can use or you can design your own.  Does this look like fun?

Sadly, they only work fit the iPhone 4 or 4S.

Ladies and Lunch and Drinks and More

Nimble Needle has posted some fun finished pieces on their blog. You can see the flappers all stitched the ladies who lunch with their drinks, and even decide whether you like the "studs" or the "duds" guys better. I love needlepoint with a sense of humor!
