Silver and Rare Earth Magnets

Needlework Retailer News just announced new silver clay magnets from Michele Ink Designs (a cross stitch designer who dabbles in metal work on the side).   These are not shown on the website link, just in the photo posted by Needlework Retailer News, but they all seem to be in ocean themes.  By the way silver clay is a clay with real silver in it that can be shaped and fired like pottery.  I have not seen these in person so I can't judge how much like silver charms they look or how durable they are, but with rare earth magnets to attach them they will cling well to your needlepoint canvas.  I think these will be an elegant and interesting addition to your needle magnet collection.

Kathryn W. is a Genius, Too

I was admiring photos from the recent Jill Rigoli embellishment class at Designer's Desk in Illinois when a Laurel Birch canvas caught my eye.

Kathryn turned a pair of Laurel Burch earrings into needle magnets.  They coordinate with her canvas! Thanks for noticing and posting the photo, Pat.

I had no idea that there were Laurel Burch-themed earrings but there are quite a few available in case you want to mimic Kathryn's stylish needle magnets.

Laurie Walden: Genius with Rabbits

I've posted links to Laurie Walden's version of Mr. Rabbit from Labors of Love when she taught it at Needle House in Texas but since she is going to teach both the male and female rabbits from the set at Enriched Stitch, I thought you'd like to see the pair.  Amazing work!
