Winterthur Symposium Registration Opens

The next textile symposium at Winterthur Museum is open for registration today, June 19th.

If you are interested in textile history or reproduction embroidery, this is for you.  Of course this 17th Century casket trifle caught my eye as I'm a sucker for historic technique and unusual threads that have been revived in limited runs.

Hope some of you are able to go!

And Brenda Showed Up

Needle Works just had a retreat and a guest came to stitch along with the participants. Yes, Brenda Stofft herself appeared.   Monica took pictures (thank you!) of the designer at work and of her Nativity set which is the club at Needle Works this year.  Don't miss the finishing of the Holy Family piece!  It's very clever.

Tallis Bag Charms

Ridgewood posted photos of charms meant to be attached as zipper pulls to tallis bags. I think they might have several uses on Judiaca items myself.   Or maybe you just want to add one to your favorite purse!
