If you are in the market for a relatively inexpensive pair of scissors with pick googly "eyes", have I got a review for you!

Seriously, I have the upmost respect for Mary Corbet, so if she says this is a good inexpensive pair of scissors, I believe her. If you are looking for a good pair that won't hit you in the pocketbook if they are lost or confiscated by the airlines when you travel, this might be a good purchase.
They are cute as an ugly bug, too!

Historic House, Complete with Needlepoint
This historic Missouri river house is full of needlepoint in the parlor, thanks to the owner's keen eye. Richard's restored house is a museum and showcase for his antiques business. Most of the needlepoint is antique but occasionally you'll see something he stitched for the house. These two articles showcase needlepoint in the ladies' parlor.

No one today is making needlepoint trivets that I know of, although I have seen a wonderful cheese board with a needlepoint insert.

Well, this is enough vintage needlepoint for today. Richard's blog is fascinating to read for all the information about the history behind antiques. Thanks for pointing me her, Whitney. I am sorry that my mother is too frail to visit his house. She would absolutely love every inch!
