The tree is from the latest club at the shop. I don't know the details yet but here's information from Facebook.

The App for Working on Black Canvas
I've been remiss in posting a great tip from the counted canvaswork designer Brenda Kocher, whose blog mentions a great app to help those working on black canvas who have an iPad. It is called Color Softbox and it is free.

You can read a bit about Brenda's design "Aurore Boréale" which was a free design in Needlepoint Now magazine's July/August 2013 issue here.

Finishing Friday: Listen to Nimble Needle
Stephanie shows off a lovely double-sided snowman, a repost of a friend's work who only posts things on Facebook. Thanks, Stephanie!

The really important finishing today is from Nimble Needle. It's not the pretty pictures that are important--you need to read NN's point about the stitching being from stitchers at different levels of ability with different goals who all got amazing results that fit their vision of needlepoint.

It's not how impressive your stitching is, it's how great your vision is. Anyone can have a spectacular finish no matter whether they are a beginner or a long-time needlepoint expert.
