Kimberly is stitching some of her small designs to use for a class at Black Sheep in Orlando. She wanted to use a certain thread but it's been discontinued. So she had to improvise and came up with rows of bullions in two colors of Petite Very Velvet. Looks like one big fat caterpillar!

The moral of the story is when you can't do what you planned, get creative. You never know what fun things you'll come up with.
Here's a bit about the class, just in case you will be in Orlando this fall or winter.

Blacks and Blues
Today I have two articles for you--one about a new silk line that the Needleart Nut is going to stitch with (blacks) and the other a different color ways for a Debbie Rowley (DebBee's Designs) that Jan took (the blues although it probably should be called aquas).
Pat at the Needleart Nut read about Silk Mill in Needlepoint Now magazine and had to try some! Here is what she ordered--

This is the Silk Mill website. I highly recommend you sign up for their newsletter as they run specials from time to time that are announced there.

Jan took a class from Debbie Rowley and changed the colors entirely. She lists what she used for "Criss Cross" here. It's lovely!

Here are the original color ways from the class. It's not available as a chart yet but perhaps after Debbie finishes teaching it she will release it and you can use Jan's colors to create your own Blues.
