This interesting variation on Double Stitch simply melds Staggered Cross with Double Stitch on a slant. The stitch variations are endless with these two stitches. Note that BeStitched included a mistake to show how obvious it is if you accidentally put the wrong leg of a cross on top. You do have to be consistent in making this stitch.

Of course you can change the spacing. You don't have to blend the two stitches to get something unique and interesting.
