The Wool and the Floss is talking turkey work these days. First, there's a video on how to do traditional turkey work. This is done from the bottom of the area you want fuzzy. Finish a row, cut the thread, move up one row to start over again working left to right, and repeat until the area is done.
The second video shows how to cut the loops and then shape the cut ends. Don't forget to brush after you cut. I often find uncut loops show up after I brush. Somehow they can get hidden and you'll miss them the first time.
Their third video is about using brick stitch style turkeywork to make a larger area furry.
