I just discovered the leather needle books that Stitch by Stitch offers. They come in brown or black leather with wool felt "pages" inside to insert your needles.https://stitchbystitchneedlepoint.com/collections/dog-grin-designs-geniune-leather-needle-cases
They aren't cheap but they are perfect for storing special needles, like those expensive handmade Japanese embroidery needles. If you travel a lot with your stitching, these also might be something you would want.
