When he was 2, he had a head of soft blond curls. I took him to the shop & matched his mop with an overdyed cotton. The hair was stitched in French knots as you did, with varying numbers of wraps, from 1-4, so some drooped. Being somewhat lazy, I carried the thread along the back from area to area, to let the overdyed do the changes for me. Totally improper, but it worked (& the NP police haven't come for me).Cindynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4686273156594002956.post-65992516007380874572017-06-04T16:32:48.749-04:002017-06-04T16:32:48.749-04:00True!True!The Chilly Hollow Needlepoint Adventurehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10226040212425559526noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4686273156594002956.post-27386618500113639172017-06-04T13:04:24.970-04:002017-06-04T13:04:24.970-04:00Valuable lesson, Jane. But it would be so much more a waste if the stitching looks so wrong that the canvas is never finished.wenhkchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13836027509448361314noreply@blogger.com
