By the way, since we are talking beads, I thought you'd like to see the beaded and sequined flowers Deepa added to her little girl's embroidered pajamas. Aren't they wonderful!?!

Hi, Jane-
ReplyDeleteFor keeping beads from flying around, Brenda Hart suggests using 2-sided Scotch tape taped to a card (or other handy paper) which can then be held to the canvas with magnets. I can always fix a fresh card as needed. The stocking I did for Samantha (pictured on my Stitcherie page) has several 1000 beads, so I'm living proof this method works. ;)

Thanks for the tip, Cathy. If Brenda says it works, it does. She knows EVERYTHING about NP. Was it Samantha's stocking that got all the beads?
ReplyDeleteAnyone who is curious--check this out!

I want Cathy to adopt me so I can have a stocking this great, too!
Yes, Jane, Samantha's "sock' (which is so darned large, Santa has to put magazines in it to fill it!) Thanks for your kind words! ;
ReplyDeleteWe stuff stockings with tissue paper and drop a tiny present on top. Not the most popular thing with the younger generation but the older ones know about pearl necklaces and diamond earrings. LOL
ReplyDeleteSeriously, it is a lovely stocking.
