Pears seem to be a very popular fruit in needle art these days. I just watched Beverly Churchfield's stitch guide for Vintage Pears (by Melissa Shirley) go for $60+ on eBay, and Kelly Clark pear ornaments were turned into a monthly club last year.

There are pear ornaments available with a velvet leaf for finishing, pear Christmas stockings, pear topiaries, and more! Plus who could forget Ruth Schmuff's pear collage mystery class? The model is just back from the framer's.

Now there is a new pears design available as a class from Terry Dryden. Take a look at Pear Duet!

I don't know where this will be taught in 2013 but I hope it will become widely available once Terry retires it from teaching.
