This doesn't really apply to needlepoint canvas, which rarely puckers these days because needlepoint canvas is stiffer than linens and cottons and also we generally use a frame, but I thought Trish Burr's article on preventing puckering in hand embroidery might be of interest since so many of us do other forms of handwork besides just needlepoint.
