Christmas with Santa Balloon (Janet Zigler Casey)

Brenda is working on another Janet Zigler Casey Santa Claus.   This is called "Santa Balloon."

Santa himself is stitched.

And the beaded basket is made and attached.  Fun!

Stumpwork Embroidery and Thread Painting: Stitch 3D Nature Motifs

Mary Corbet stumbled across Megan Zaniewski's book, Stumpwork Embroidery and Thread Painting:  Stitch 3D Nature Motifs.  It teaches stump work and thread painting, which are techinques needlepointers like to use.  Mary loves the book, by the way!

You can buy the book through Med Embroiders, 's Etsy shop.  The shop has three of her dimensional embroideries for sale, too--the slug, the frog and the sphinx moth.  All are magnificent!
