Wood AND Glass Laying Tools

Amy's Golden Strand posted photos of a new style of laying tool on the shop Facebook page a while back.   The handles are wooden while the shaft and point are colorful glass.  This might be a good compromise for someone who wants to use the smooth glass without having to worry about it being too slippery in their hand.  There is one photo on the shop website but judging from the Facebook photo (June 19, 2012), these come in two lengths and a variety of woods but the glass tips are all the same colorful pattern.

And I've stumbled across a site that tells you several places to buy half cone sticks.  Never heard of them?  Neither had I but they are quite useful as you will see.

Heartbreak Scissors

Since we are talking tools today, please note Mary Corbett's scissors just broke her heart. They can do that to you.  Please read the comments as Mary asked for scissor recommendations.  This might come in handy when you decide on a new pair.
