Collegiate Luggage Tags

I've profiled Kristine Kingston here before, but mostly I talked about her stitch guides and her blog.  Today I can show off some of Kristine's custom collegiate luggage tags, thanks to Diane who ordered three.  Kristine does lots of custom designs for folks, but these are especially wonderful mementos of college life.

The Sampler Collector UPDATED

Carolyn Hedge Baird takes us on a tour of her sampler collection and those of her friends, ranging from old samplers on linen to modern painted needlepoint versions.  This inspired me to go looking for painted canvas versions of samplers, both vintage and modern.

If you are a sampler lover like Carolyn, you'll enjoy looking at the painted canvas versions available from Birds of a Feather.

Ewe and Eye's Blakeley Wilson designs are modern farm scenes that are sure to have appeal for the sampler folks.

Samantha Taylor has a modern baby sampler.

Stitch-it's Prairie Schooler line has wonderful primitive artworks.

Wellesley Needlepoint features the traditional scenes from Julie Paukert that charm us with their old fashioned scenes.

Knit and Needlepoint offers both traditional sampler designs and patterns taken from quilts and woven coverlets.  They also have modern samplers like the mermaid sampler shown here.

Stitch Boutique of Boston has a lovely blue and white sampler.

Janet Granger has traditional samplers in miniature for dollhouses that are on evenweave fabric.

That's enough for now, sampler lovers!
