3 Kitten's Russian Santas Club

3 Kittens is going to do a monthly club this year featuring four of Leigh's eight Russian Santas PLUS the matching Snow Maiden!   The blonde, blue-eyed Snow Maiden is an exclusive canvas for this shop so right now you can't get her anywhere else.  I don't know yet if she will be available alone or if you have to sign up to stitch both her and her Santa brethren.  The shop says she is only available as part of the club.   It is interesting to read that the shop plans to do these pieces with a domed background filled with blackwork patterns, and each Santa will stand on a elaborately patterned bottom border.  You know, that border base is a very good idea....

A Tribute to Perle Cotton

Whether you call it perle cotton or pearl cotton, many of us look down on perle cotton. But not Gay Ann Rogers! Read her tribute to the versatility, beauty and strength of perle cotton on her website.

From the Seaside to the Medicine Cabinet

Today I have some fun finished pieces for you to admire.  First here is Palma's seaside collage from Lani. It is really something! This was worked in Brenda Hart classes.  Brenda and Palma did a great job, didn't they?

The next piece is one of the Kirk and Hamilton poison bottles for Halloween.  They crack me up!  Faith used an Amy Bunger stitch guide to work up this wonderful Warts and All piece.

I can't wait to see both finished.  I know Palma plans to put the seaside collage in a custom table top....
