Anyone who lives in or visits Manhattan (or wishes they could go there) will love hearing about Rita's Needlepoint.

Rita's doesn't have a website but they do have a Facebook page if you want to explore a bit from the comfort of your couch.

UPDATE: Jody tells me that Rita's does have a very minimal website. Thanks! Google let me down there!

A Tribute To a Real Hero
Labels:
Sandy Sandell,

On Memorial Day we honor the military heroes. I have a decorated warrior and medical missionary to honor today--Sandy Sandell. Sandy was one of the legendary MACV SOG group in Vietnam, then spent forty years serving as a medical missionary in Thailand and Laos, providing dental care to the rural poor in these areas. Sandy died this year from cancer. He is greatly missed by his friends and patients.
