More DIY - Marlene's Self Finishing Kits

The Needlepointer's newest e-newsletter shows off the new self-finishing kits from Marlene's. Marlene's is a byword among stitchers for their gorgeous and expensive finishing. Now you can have that quality in a kit from Marlene Makes It Fun.  You stitch the small canvas that comes with the kit and use Marlene's instructions to attach it to the pre-made pillow.

Finishing Friday: DIY

As part of finishing Friday, I thought I'd post about a link to make a messenger bag for those who are curious about the finishing process or who want to try making your own to feature that cute little canvas you don't know what to do with.

This comes to you courtesy of Anna Scott, former editor of Inspirations magazine.  She says it is easy but she knows her way around a sewing machine.  Personally I hate adding zippers so I would call this an intermediate project.

My last piece of eye candy is the cutest penguin on earth pillow.  It wasn't a DIY piece but you have to see this!
