Ruth Schmuff just kept me from having only one post for today by announcing the next Mystery with a Twist class for her shop She is going to do this Zecca bird canvas, probably starting in the winter sometime.

Ruth leads two types of mystery classes. She does one every three-four months and one that takes a year or more to finish. Those longer classes are called Mystery with a Twist. They take much longer so there is no pressure to keep up for either Ruth or her students.
The first Mystery with a Twist was this set of Oriental Ladies from Lee.

The current Mystery with a Twist is this holiday village from Melissa Shirley.

If you are interested in the regular mystery classes that take only 3-4 months to be revealed, check the Bedecked and Beaddazzled website.

With the holidays bearing down on us, Trish Burr has given her fans a little Christmas gift--a free needle painting design of a cluster of pansies. She calls it Porcelain Pansy.

Here's the direct link to the PDF file for you to read. This is the perfect way to learn to trace a design and then stitch it using the needle painting technique. Study the photos carefully to see how to slant your stitches.
