If you've ever wanted to turn a photograph into needlepoint, then you will be interested in Lois Kershner's new book.

Amy Bunger says she'll have this up on her website shortly, so if your local shop doesn't plan to stock this brand new book, you can get it from Amy or directly from Lois herself.
UPDATE: Here it is!

If you aren't familiar with Lois' incredible stitching, check her website. She teaches the wonderful items in her Classes section for ANG often. The slide show of her Classes is a wonderful way to spend a few quiet minutes.

Not Exactly New... UPDATED
...but these lovely things are new to me. Did you know The Needlepointer has a kits page on their website? They all seem to be British kits with wool on larger count, perfect for a quick and relaxing stitch when you need a new pillow that will stand up to rowdy kids. (By the way, they've added a specials section to their website. Scroll down to the bottom to see the specials for August which happen to be Rebecca Wood Christmas stockings.)

For Medici and Needle Necessities fans, Needle in a Haystack has hanks of French wool, which is the overdyed Medici from Needle Necessities. Their online catalogue has been updated to show the colors available. They have some of the original overdyed Kreinik from NN available as well.

I started poking around Needle in a Haystack's website and discovered some new and unusual needle magnets from Embellishments Plus! I'd never heard of them before but I sure like their cameo style magnets! Plus, some come in two sizes so you can get smaller or larger of the style you prefer.

UPDATE: Quail Run has these Embellishments Plus! magnets on order and has posted a chart that shows the designs and sizes.

UPDATE: Absolutely Needlepoint has posted photographs of their latest painted canvases. Not all are new, but all are wonderful.

Vicky DeAngelis is always on the road, heading to Needlepoint Now magazine for work, or going to shops and Seminars and who knows where else? Today she shows off her new berry beads and talks about her visit to Mindy's Needlepoint Factory, which is the home base for those Mindy canvases we all adore.

(If you are searching for an online source for Miyuki's berry beads, try searching for peanut beads as well. In many bead shops, these shapes are called peanuts when they come from other manufacturers.)
