One of my "local" needlework shops, Waste Knot, is four years old! It is celebrating with a twenty percent off sale on anything in stock through this coming Saturday. There's also an Associated Talents trunk show there that offers fifteen percent off. Paternayan and Trio are also on sale at a deep discount since Waste Knot is discontinuing those threads. There's just not room for every wonderful thread that's available. Click on What's New for more details.

There are directions, too. The shop entrance is on the back side of a small strip mall, behind the bakery. Go around back and park, then have fun-fun-fun.
Don't forget that the last day of the birthday sale is the first day Woodlawn Plantation's needlework exhibit is over. Go both places (and many more) while you are in the D.C. metro area.

Gossip Central Reappears
There was so much news yesterday that I decided to break this article in half and post about products, clubs and classes separately. Orna Willis has created a fabulous video about the class she is teaching at ANG's Seminar in Philadelphia this year. Her students will recreate the skyline of her city, Philly.

Nimble Needle is going to offer Melissa Shirley's Golden Christmas Crackers club this year. The stitch guides are by the amazing Robin King. You can see more here. By the way, there is a stitch guide for the similar Golden Candy Cane series if you want more than just the cracker set (second link).

Interested in stitching Little Shoppe Canvas Company's flip flop designs that make up into key fobs? Diane has stitched several of these to use a gifts and highly recommends them.

Need a new purse to keep that key fob in? Diane has one of those, too! She just got her new red nylon tote bag from Lee/Colonial. I have the exact same bag in black and I just love it. I've carried nothing else for almost two years, even though I've never managed to find the time to stitch a canvas to insert in it. (Bad Jane!)
