A Christmas Village for a Cold Season

It has been a cold and wet spring for those of us in Chilly Hollow, so this wonderful Christmas village piece is perfect for a week that had two frost watches.  The finishing fascinates me.  I am not certain if it is a shaped pillow or a standup or something in between.  However it is finished, it is a lovely thing even if you really don't want your May to be as cold as December!

Swimming with Ruth's Mermaid

Ruth Schmuff has started her newest mystery class, the Aquamarine Mermaid from Sandra Vargas. Ruth is like me, she started with the background and the face.  What's especially impressive is how she varies the background from rows of bubbles to random ones. It does look like bubbles are rising toward the surface!
