Tony and Jinny Get to Work

From the Cover of Glorious Color, By Kaffe Fassett, 1988 Edition

Virginia posted a progress photo of her lovely Colors of Praise still life of Chinese ginger jars, worked according to Tony Minieri's instructions from an embellishment class she took with him.

It's looking really good!  I've always loved the still life pieces from Colors of Praise but there's no doubt they are complex to embellish because there are so many pieces.

I've also always loved ginger jars and hope to have time in my crazy life to stitch one.  I'm not the only one who adores them, either.

"Away from the Bottle--and the Doctor"

This charming video showcases Tapisserie, a shop in England, started by the talented Hayat Palumbo, the author of one of my favorite needlepoint coffee table books, "A Passion for Needlepoint."

The book is full of wonderful designs, but there are no charts.  Just be warned.  This is an inspiration book, not directions on how to create some of the amazing things you'll see photographed.

The hand painted designs for sale are beautiful and for some of them, there is only one in stock, so if you fall in love, act fast.
