Ruth Schmuff just posted another blog entry about her current mystery class at Bedecked and Beaddazzled, which is a Christmas stocking from Tapestry Fair.

I updated the article that introduced this class (link below) which is my practice so if you stumble across this later, everything is in one spot for ease of reading (and admiring!).

However, in Ruth's article about the leaves on the stocking, she shows the side of class planning most stitchers don't get to see--the fact that the teacher is often only days ahead of the students in writing the lessons and sometimes they don't go to plan. The next time you take a class, look on the teacher in awe as you realize just how the lessons are unfolding behind the scenes!

Ann Loves Spoonflower
Labels:
fabrics,
Spoonflower
If you were driving past the With My Needle blog, you would probably see "Ann Loves Spoonflower" painted on a rock wall.

"Spoonflower?"
Fortunately I've been around the Internet a bit and I know just what Ann means. Spoonflower is the place to buy small swatches of interesting fabrics, or even create your own special one-of-a-kind design. I see they are even selling wrapping paper now, so you can be totally unique from backing fabric to the outside packaging you put that special gift in. It's fun to browse the fascinating items for sale here.

I think I might have to paint "Jane Loves Spoonflower" on my rock wall, too!
