Laura Perin is tempting us with a glimpse of her new piece, "Ace of Diamonds," which is a diamond filled geometric in icy blues and purples. It's lovely but I can't help thinking what a magnificent set of playing card backs this might make.

By the way, don't forget Laura's older designs. As she demonstrates here, they are timeless and also fun color exercises.

UPDATE: Ace is revealed! Here's what Scarlet Thread says about the design.

You can buy the chart directly from her website if your shop doesn't have it in stock yet.

Rumor Mill: ANG SOTM Thread Shortage
Labels:

Stitch of the Month,
ThreadworX
According to Needle in a Haystack, ThreadworX's overdyed floss #1089, which is used in the ANG Stitch of the Month program for 2012, is going to be hard to get for the next month. You might want to check around and see if another shop has it if you are certain you want to use the model colors from the ANG website.
