Leigh S. just announced the death of Cathy Felten on Facebook. ANG members will know Cathy from her period as president of the organization and the other offices she held on the national level, but she also helped found several local ANG chapters and was known as a friendly and talented stitcher. Please keep her family and close friends in your thoughts as they deal with their loss and ours.

Debra Wallerstein just announced on Facebook that Birthe Cacciatore has died. One of the founders of In Stitches in Lake Worth, Florida, Birthe was mentor to many needlepointers and an inspiration to many more. It is sad to lose such a talented and influential stitcher and teacher but she leaves behind many friends and great memories.

Plays with Needles
Susan at Plays with Needles stumbled across a mystery involving a piece of petitpoint she found at an antiques mall in Florida. Anyone recognize the heraldry or what 1526 means?

UPDATE: Susan talked to the College of Arms and here is what they said about the symbolism.

All I know about the date 1526 is Henry VIII was writing love letters to Anne Boleyn then....
