Needle Works in Austin has a Leigh trunk show for the entire month of August. Trunk show canvases or Leigh orders they place for you are both 20% off.

NWKS has quite a few Leigh designs on their website but your best bet is to visit the Leigh Designs site, pick out the canvas you want and then go to the NWKS website to ask if they have it in the trunk show or if they have to order for you. If you want something from the trunk show, however, act fast. The ANG Seminar is in San Antonio shortly and the Seminar crowd will be visiting the shop. They are likely to pick the trunk show clean....

Smilin' Jack Disappears

The sharp-eyed among you probably noticed that Smilin' Jack the pumpkin purse insert disappeared from the right hand column's listing of current projects last Friday. That's because the canvas is finished, turned into a purse insert and has been sent to Leigh Designs where Smilin' Jack the Lady Killer Pumpkin himself will be a model at the Baltimore trade show in a week. His unstitched cousins and a stitch guide by moi will be available for purchase there. I am going to post photos of the finished pumpkin on August 14th after shops who travel to Baltimore get a chance to see him in person.
I understand he'll be signing autographs at the Leigh Designs display....
I am going to stitch two more of the Fash Inserts for Leigh but for now I'm not telling which.

Speaking of Ms. Clark, she just posted an update of the stumpwork on her latest piece, which is a class for Needle Works in Austin. If you are interested in seeing more, click on the title of the blog to take you to the home page, then scroll backwards to see her progress in reverse.
