Orna Willis doesn't always follow the standard way of doing things in her instructions for her counted designs. In this interesting essay she explains why her Rhodes Stitch has one extra stitch on top, why she uses the "wrap stitch" method for stitching paths and why she matches her beading thread color to the canvas, not the bead.
