Catching Up

Due to the hurricane, I am trying to catch up on unanswered emails and trying to post about things I've seen but haven't had blog access to write about. In other words, this article is going to be more incoherent than usual, but no Internet access does that to you!

First of all, Needle Nicely shows off their wall displays of painted canvases.  I love seeing the inside of shops!

I have some unusual finishing for you.  First, a Day of the Dead skull displayed in a most unusual manner!

Here's a sullen Halloween witch who is obviously not in a good mood.  Maybe she hates her new haircut?  LOL

How about this Christmas snail canvas?  I love it but Wordpress doesn't love me so I can't tell Michele how much I like this.

Finally, if finishing costs are bankrupting you, how about using one of the Sudberry boxes?  Pocket Full of Stitches shows off the range of styles and sizes on their blog.  My personal favorite was the Sharon box which they no longer make but the Long Box looks similar.

Tomorrow I'll be more coherent-promise!

Katherine Goes Scrooge

Now that Christmas is looming ahead (and advancing with the speed of a freight train!) Katherine is feeling guilty about not gifting needlepoint to those who don't appreciate it.

Me, I don't give things to folks who don't appreciate them.  Just call me Scrooge!

What do you guys think?

China Santa with Fortune Cookie Ornaments on Tree

Katheryn posted her Christmas ornament and stocking canvases to show off the painted names she had added to personalize her Christmas designs.

I followed her link to NOLA Ornaments, which is the site for Annie Smith and Sheila Dial.

I like the little New Orleans ornaments but for me, the real winners here are the Santas of the World ornaments by Sheila Dial.   They start here.

Sheila has an Etsy store, in case you are interested in adding to your Santa or New Orleans collection.
