It's that time of year again--October--which brings us Gay Ann Roger's sale of her charts. She only sells her work once a year (with occasional mini sales at Valentine's Day or other times of the year when she happens to have new designs ready) and no one knows exactly which samplers, geometric designs or new pieces will appear. As Gay Ann explains on her blog, she will start a little story on her website on Thursday, October 10, that leads up to the official sale starting next Wednesday, October 16.

If you are into counted canvaswork, you'll want to keep an eye on the sales. Gay Ann runs out of charts and when they are gone, they are GONE, particularly during the weekend mini sale, so if you are interested in some of her work, act now or you will have to wait and see if the chart of your dreams shows up for sale in October of 2014.

Since I know many folks find faces hard, I thought everyone would be interested in how Anne Stradal of ABS Designs is stitching the rosy cheeks of her current Santa (by Amanda Lawford).

Anne uses needle blending of colors very often for skies. Here is her last example--
