Laura Perin has been printing copies of her "Cut Glass Dishes" design. It reminds her of those cut glass dishes in the cupboard we all cherish. At least I do as my grandmother collected Carnival Glass dishes and I inherited several of them as my mother started to downsize to move into her apartment. Thinking about this as she printed, she decided to recommend a mystery series by Susan Wittig Albert called the Darling Dahlia series. Ms. Albert is a stitcher like us, too!

This morning Mary Corbet treated us to some fantastic goldwork photographs. This beauty is from the talented hands of Cristina Badillo. There are links to her website and more photos of goldwork to enjoy via Pinterest, too. The various effects the different types of metallic threads gives never stops amazing me.

If you would like to see examples of some of the gold threads Cristina used, visit Hedgehog Handworks and browse the various sections to read descriptions and see closeup photos.

By the way, Mary also went into detail about some of the threads Cristina used which are not normally used in the U.S. or Britain for goldwork. Interesting!
