The American Needlepoint Guild's Stitch of the Month program, featuring Ro Pace's Flowers of Italy, has started. January's information shows the layout and explains the types of threads you will need. Many thanks to Yenulka for pointing out that the first installment was on the ANG website.

It looks likely to me that Ro's piece is named after one of the threads she used--Gloriana Silk's Flowers of Italy #194 which can be glimpsed here.

UPDATE: Scarlet Thread has posted photos of the threads for the original colors Ro used and they will be doing thread kits in other colors as well. I must say I'm tempted by Sara Leigh's colors she used in her Stars. They are very very pretty!

Ringing in the New Year
Happy New Year, everyone! I hope we all have a good 2011, full of interesting stitching and good health for all.
Because this is a new year, it is appropriate to lead off with Barbara Elmore's glimpse of one of her new designs for 2011. This will preview at the TNNA trade show next week but thanks to Barbara's hints, we know there is a pretty border and a cat in it.

Ruth Schmuff is showing off her newest charted Puzzle project. This one is in Christmas red and green. If you like to stitch Happy, this is for you. Ruth's pieces are always cheerful.
