Breaking News: Susan Portra

I was thrilled this morning to read Vicky DeAngelis' blog and discover Susan Portra has a new website.  Vicky talks about working with Susan on articles for Needlepoint Now and gives places Susan teachers, which is nice.  Hope I run into her one day.

Quick Stitch Variations and More

There's a new book in town--Quick Stitch Variations Book by Susan Jones.  This book is distributed by Custom House of Needle Arts in case your local shop wants to order copies.  Pocket Full of Stitches has posted a few photos of the inside pages so you can get an idea if this book needs to go on your bookshelf.

A quick visit to Custom House's website shows that they distribute Julie Sackett's books as well.  Follow the links for a bit more information about the books.

Here is even more.

Julie Sackett does a lot of charted designs that Quail Run distributes.  You have probably seen her kimonos and eggs without knowing that Julie is the designer.

Thanks for the nudge, PFOS!

A Reposting of Inexplicable Behavior

I rarely repost articles I've written for Blog but lately I've been rummaging around old articles, looking for particularly helpful ones to put in the Tutorials and Tips section.  When I came across this one, it seemed a good time to reference it again.  After all, summer's upon us, which means we can sit outside in public and stitch where the whole world can see us.  Want to sit outside and stop traffic with me?
