Because Holiday Madness has struck Chilly Hollow like a freight train running over a penny, I almost missed Gay Ann Roger's posting of her favorite tools which make fine stocking stuffers for stitchers. Don't be like me! Head to Gay Ann's website. The latest will be on the home page. Click on "Stocking Stuffers" to see the previous recommendations. Each and every one is a gem that comes highly recommended by one of needlepoint's rock stars.

By the way, Gay Ann doesn't sell these but keep an eye on her website. Kate Gaunt will sell the favorites Gay Ann has listed starting Dec. 26 so if you got money for Christmas....
The information on how to order will be on the gayannrogers.com site.

For the Nutcracker Nuts
Labels:

Texas
Stephanie just posted a series of nutcracker designs stitched by or for a friend of hers who loves nutcrackers.
http://stephsstitching.blogspot.com/2013/12/nuts-for-nutcrackers.html
Sheena also posted some fun Christmas finishing, which includes a cowboy and girl nutcracker set. That's something you don't see every day!
http://www.sheenasstitches.com/merry-tex-mas-stitched/
I have to admit they seen a little creepy to me--those teeth!--but I know there are many nutcracker collectors. And occasionally I find a nutcracker canvas that really charms me--like this Peter Ashe nutcracker and mouse king piece.

Whether you are a nutcracker lover or not, hope you enjoyed the nutcracker collector's designs. Got a great nutcracker to recommend to fellow collectors? Just comment below....

Children's Rockers
Labels:
chairs,
Needle Nicely,
rocking chairs,
Sudberry
You know how you can't find navy slacks or cream colored turtlenecks when you need them? Needle Nicely has found the same thing happens with children-sized rockers, so the shop was thrilled to find three Sudberry rockers to stock in the shop. These are classics, just waiting for the right stitcher to come along....
