If you are tired of adding beads, sequins or crystals to your needlepoint canvas, this video might make you feel better about how lovely the end result will be after all that work. Wait'll you see the veil on the wedding dress at the end! The dress and veil are so heavy the model can barely walk and has to put her hands on hips to support the veil and of course to show it off even more.

Siddur Season: The Stitched Book Cover
Not being Jewish myself, I had never heard of the Siddur Ceremony, which is a sort of graduation party for kids who have learned enough Hebrew to read prayer books in the original. Naturally, moms and grandmas (and probably dads and grandpas, too) stitch Siddur covers and Renee shows off a lovely finished one on her blog. There are links to other Pepita book cover designs as well, which I found quite interesting.

I love books so perhaps one day I'll stitch a cover for a very special book. Now I know where to go for finishing.
