...and it is only an hour from me! This is indeed exciting news for those who live around Winchester, Virginia. It looks to be a counted thread shop, judging from the report from the Loudoun Sampler Guild. Sounds like it is close to the Route 11 potato chip factory, if you happen to be local.

Of course an hour's trip one way isn't something I can make often but I know there are a lot of counted thread folks who live close to the new shop and this is very very good news for them.
UPDATE: I found the website for Valley Needlework. Sadly, it is catering to every needle art except needlepoint.

Kim is Evolving
Kimberly Designs has posted a brief overview of Kim's career as a counted canvaswork and now a painted canvas designer. The best place to see the counted designs she did before relocating to Texas is the second link.

Here are some of her painted canvases (with a few charts and stitch guides thrown in). You'll see that they are unique. There is nothing else like Kimberly's designs!

I am not that interested in cross stitch (it's called that because keeping up with all those little Xs makes my eyes cross) but this How to Cross Stitch video is a Must See just for the new technique of stripping floss it demonstrates.
