Amanda Lawford Visits Atlanta

If you are anywhere near In Stitches tomorrow, September 30, make sure you visit the shop between 11-3 p.m. to visit Amanda Lawford who will be there during a trunk show of her line. Twenty percent off and the designer to boot!  Can't beat that.  Here are the details and directions.

Stock Up On More Than Candy

Now that the stores are overflowing with Halloween treats, Robin reminds us to stock up on more than candy bars. This is the only time of year you'll find Halloween decorations for your house and your needlepoint.  So check out the craft emporiums, places like Pier 1 and Joann's Fabrics, and even your grocery store for buttons, beads, trims, bells, jewelry, and many other embellishments that you can use in those Halloween projects you will stitch in the next year.  Come November, all these things will vanish until next September.

Add Another Temptation to the List

I just bookmarked another page on the SJ Designs website, the one for Confetti.  This is a tubular thread similar to Rachel and Frosty Rays but the color range is different.  I particularly like their subtle colors for smoke and snow and creating the illusion of distant ice.  You can see all the available colors starting here.

By the way, Susan has added new sizes to her pearl beads.  You can now pick up a range of sizes, which I find particularly useful.
