Thanks to GE and her husband, I've been able to add photographs of cover pages for twelve of the fourteen Loretta Spears mystery charts to the Loretta Spears blog. Besides the intrinsic interest of seeing how Loretta's mystery cover pages changed (and didn't change) over the years she published mystery designs, we finally have a good idea of what all the covers should look like. I hope this will help cut down on copies being sold on eBay as originals. As far as I can judge, this doesn't happen often but anything we can do to prevent forgeries is a good thing. Here's the link. Have fun browsing Loretta's amazing counted canvaswork designs!

A Visit to Regal Rabbit
Labels:

You probably have heard of the Regal Rabbit. Their website is A-Z Needlepoint.
http://a-z-needlepoint.com/
Sadly, there aren't any shop photos on the website but luckily Diane's been there and took lots of photos. What fun!

Ruth Is Bubbly Today

Ruth Schmuff
Ruth Schmuff has posted the latest mystery class photos on her blog. She's doing a pear collage design for shop students. Her long distance students will have their class lesson mailed to them. Ruth waits to make sure that nothing comes up in class that she didn't make totally clear before shipping off the latest installment to those who can't come to class in person.
It is a quiet piece, very green and calm and so far the stitches have been fascinating. Check out how Ruth uses the same thread and number of plies but two different stitches to achieve distance.

Whenever I run out of ideas I just browse the photos on Ruth's website. Almost always she sparks an idea. Very creative lady, Ruth!
