Over at NP Nation, Cheryl asked a question a lot of us have wondered: "How do you know which threads you can use a hair straightener on?"
For those who don't have a Facebook account, I'll quote Debbie Rowley's answer in full.
"I caution my classes not to use it on pearl cottons or braided threads (Silk Lame' Braid) - it flattens the twist and these particular threads are meant to be twisted. It works great on ribbons of all kinds (Neon Rays, Neon Rays+, Flair, Frosty Rays, silk ribbons, etc.), stranded threads (silk, cotton and rayon), and metallic braids (twisted tightly enough that the twist doesn't flatten)."
