Look at the Horsey!

When we traveled us kids tried to spot horses along the road we were driving. My White Horse! was a yell we would let out in the back seat. Why our parents didn't just abandon us along the side of the road is a topic for another day....

I thought of that game when I saw these horse pillow canvases designed by NeedlePaint for a custom order.  I think they are charming.

Oh, there is a giraffe, too.  It's at a different site.  Never saw a giraffe in a field off the Interstate, though!

I've Been Busy

I haven't been just sitting around channel surfing, trying to find something on TV that will replace the Olympics! I've been adding to the CH Stitch Guides blog!  There are new articles about stitch guides from Debbie Bowers, Sheena James and Diana Bosworth up this week.  You can click on the link below or just click on the magic carpet photo on the right side of the page to be magically carried there and back again to Blog when you are ready.
http://chstitchguides.blogspot.com

I've added a new feature here at Blog--the Have You Seen This Canvas?tab.  If you click on the right tab from the set just under the title header at the top of this page, you'll go to a new page with listings of canvases folks are seeking.  (The link below will take you straight there but to come back to the main page of Blog, you'll have to click the Home tab.)   Right now there is just one item listed, but I expect this will slowly grow.  You can send your Desperately Seeking item to me at chillyhollow at hotmaildotcom and I'll post it.  A photo and all the information you can gather (designer, size) will really help.  If folks use this feature I'll keep it. If not, eventually I'll remove the tab.  I don't want Blog to be too cluttered.
http://chillyhollownp.blogspot.com/p/have-you-seen-this-canvas.html

I've also added new ornament articles and finished piece photos to the Loretta Spears Archive, which you can visit at this link.   I am still soliciting photos, thread lists for items that don't have them, and any other information you can provide.  Send those to me at LorettaSpearsDesigns@gmail.com and I'll add them to our knowledge of all of Loretta's creations.
http://lorettaspears.blogspot.com

I'm stitching, too, but I can't show off that Top Secret project as it is to debut at TNNA's Baltimore show in a few weeks.  Stitch faster, Jane!

Denser Comes Forward?

Ruth Schmuff has posted more photos from her current mystery class, one of Eye Candy's collage patterns. This happens to be my favorite of the set (what an iPad cover this would make!)  so I've been very curious about how Ruth would handle the central heart.  The backgrounds all around it are pretty busy. How would Ruth make the heart stand out?
http://www.notyourgrandmothersneedlepoint.com/2012/08/be-still-my-beating-heart.html

She used a denser texture with lots of beads and metallic threads to make the heart come forward.  Looks like there are a few steps left, those intriguing blank orange and green rectangles inside the heart.

I can't wait to see what she does next!

Vicky is in Pennsylvania UPDATED

Vicky has flown to Philadelphia from California, ready for ANG's 40th annual seminar! Hurrah!   She's reporting in, too.  Here're the first installments.  I'll update this as she gives us a peak at Seminar Philly style.
http://mostlyneedlepoint.com/08/25/im-here/

ANG is also updating their Seminar 2012 photos section, but they seem to post the photographs on the ANG Yahoo Group page first.  They usually show group shots of happy stitchers but you might recognize a friend in the photos. There's a photo of the souvenir ANG 40th Anniversary magnet up today.

Keep an eye on both places.  We can't let those folks in Philly have ALL the fun!

A Morning's Browse

Some mornings I don't want to think, I don't want to read the news, I don't want to even check the weather report. I just want to look at inspiring needlepoint.  If you are in that mood this morning, come with me to Amy Bunger's website and look at the shop's art gallery of finished designs, courtesy of their customers.  Many of the pieces were done using Amy's stitch guides but many have personal touches that show off the stitcher's personality and skills.  I just love seeing everything!

Autumn is in the Air

Fall is in the air here in Chilly Hollow. A few leaves are falling and one huge oak has started dropping acorns. This is the tree the deer and wild turkeys fought over two years ago. Last year it was the tree in the middle of the driveway but that one hasn't lost any acorns yet. It's funny how there is always one tree that becomes a territorial struggle between birds and mammals each year, and it is never the same one.

I've seen other signs of autumn as well.  Here's the nicest one.

Vicky DeAngelis has glimpses of new tools that will be available at Baltimore.

Finally, SharonG has a new Christmas design, a stitcher's ornament.  This will debut at Baltimore but Nimble Needle is taking pre-orders for the canvas and a canvas/stitch guide combo.  The shop will even do a threads and beads kit.  I can attest no one does a more thorough stitch guide than SharonG.

Collecting Sea Shells

One of my favorite things when I went to Florida as a kid was collecting shells that washed up on the beach. There is a tiny glass vial of them in my jewelry box still, memories in a bottle of a fun time with my family.  These memories grow more precious with time as pretty soon I will be the only one still alive from that family group.  But I can always pick up the bottle of shells to return to Florida with my parents and baby brother through my memories of our time at the beach.

I think its memories like mine that are driving the popularity of Melissa Shirley's shells in a bucket designs.  Have you seen them?  Scroll through the Seaside section of Melissa's website and see how many shells you find piled in a pretty bowl or collected in a bucket.  A great many of these designs have been turned into classes.
http://melissashirleydesigns.com//gallery/?cat=67

Laura Taylor of Aristeia has stitched two of the bowls of shells patterns and you can get stitch guides  now that the classes Aristeia did for these pieces are over.  You can do the larger piece, or...
http://melissashirleydesigns.com/gallery/?index=4098&cat=67

...you can stitch the smaller with Laura's help.  Note that both of these designs are on 13 count.
http://melissashirleydesigns.com/gallery/?index=5662&cat=70

Quail Run is doing a class on the shells in a bucket design.  You can follow their progress on the new QR blog and just perhaps they will write a guide at the end you could buy if you are a long distance admirer.

http://sonorandesertstitching.blogspot.com/2012/08/update-on-seashell-pail-class_8.html

Amy Bunger is busily writing a stitch guide for one of the shell compote bowl canvases (the one with the sea urchin in the right lower corner) for the 18 count version.  She just posted a message about it on her Facebook page.  If you are a fan of 18 count, let Amy know you are interested in her guide when she finishes it.

Not Exactly New... UPDATED

...but these lovely things are new to me. Did you know The Needlepointer has a kits page on their website?  They all seem to be British kits with wool on larger count, perfect for a quick and relaxing stitch when you need a new pillow that will stand up to rowdy kids.  (By the way, they've added a specials section to their website.  Scroll down to the bottom to see the specials for August which happen to be Rebecca Wood Christmas stockings.)
http://theneedlepointer.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&manufacturers_id=112

For Medici and Needle Necessities fans, Needle in a Haystack has hanks of French wool, which is the overdyed Medici from Needle Necessities.  Their online catalogue has been updated to show the colors available.  They have some of the original overdyed Kreinik from NN available as well.
http://needlestack.typepad.com/whats_new/2012/08/we-have-a-few-colors-of-needle-necessities-hand-dyed-medici.html

I started poking around Needle in a Haystack's website and discovered some new and unusual needle magnets from Embellishments Plus!  I'd never heard of them before but I sure like their cameo style magnets!  Plus, some come in two sizes so you can get smaller or larger of the style you prefer.
http://www.needlestack.com/WebStore/EmbellishmentsPlus.html

UPDATE:  Quail Run has these Embellishments Plus! magnets on order and has posted a chart that shows the designs and sizes.

More ANG Seminar News UPDATED

I have a bit more news about new things you'll see if you are going to ANG's Seminar in Philadelpha later this week. Terry Dryden's newest classes will be on display at the exhibit in the 2013 class model section.  ANG always shows off the classes for the next seminar at the current seminar.  It's a perk for attendees to see the new classes models in person.
http://www.terrydryden.com/-blog/2012/8/20/new-designs-on-display-in-philadelphia.html

If you are able to go to Merchandise Night, on 8/30, you can pick up some silk wrapped pearl purl from Nimble Needle's booth (which will have trunk shows there from Leigh, SharonG--who will be there in person--and Julie Mar and Friends).  Give Karen and SharonG hugs from me, ok?
http://thenimbleneedle.blogspot.com/2012/08/silk-wrapped-pearl-purl.html

I don't know for sure that Orna Willis will be at Merchandise Night, but she usually is.  She'll have wonderful things like these kits that come with a design in many many color selections.  I have to admit Orna's pieces look too loud in the photos for my style but wait'll you see them in person!  They are a totally different thing when you actually see them.  She's a genius with color!
http://ornadesign.blogspot.com/2012/08/new-kit-just-like-cotton-candy.html

On a slightly different topic, Celebration of Needlework will have a show at St. Charles in Missouri at the end of September.  Here are some details but the second link has much more.  This is a counted thread show mostly, so I hope you are able to go to broaden the things you offer in your shop.

Stitching at the County Fair

The Colorado Stitcher has gone to the county fair and come home with ribbons.  Congratulations!
http://acoloradostitcher.blogspot.com/2012/08/jefferson-county-fair.html

I wrote about our county fair last year.  If you've never been to a small local fair, you should take a look at the photographs.   I entered and won my usual blue ribbon again this year, by the way.  It's pretty durn easy to win where no one else needlepoints in your county.  Sigh.  Still, I love seeing the bunnies and chickens and all the needleart.  This year the crocheted afghans made up the bulk of the needle arts entries but there were several cross stitched pictures and knitting, too.

The Engagement

Ruth Schmuff is doing a stitch guide and kit for an unusual engagement present--one of Eye Candy's new fairy tale canvases.  I love fairy tale-themed canvases but I never would have thought to use one as an engagement present.
http://www.notyourgrandmothersneedlepoint.com/2012/08/loves-first-kiss.html

Ruth got me thinking so I did a little searching for wedding and engagement canvases.  How about Studio Midwest's bride and groom toppers?  They would be perfect for a wedding shower and you could even use a photo of the set on the invitation.
http://chapelhillneedlepoint.blogspot.com/2012/03/happily-ever-after.html

This little wedding rings design from Raymond Crawford would be a perfect gift for the new couple, especially with an initial inside each ring.
http://www.needlepoint.com/wedding-rings.html

Want to do a pillow for the new couple's apartment that isn't too cute?
http://www.laborsofloveneedlepoint.com/products.php?product=238

One of Amy Bunger's Cookbook chapters is called Happily Ever After.  It's borders, and although I've not seen this series of stitch diagrams, I bet you could stack borders around the initials of the happy couple and create a lovely ring bearer's pillow.
http://www.amybunger.com/catalog/item/6250563/6065801.htm

Speaking of a ring bearer's pillow, I've recently seen Laura Perin's Celtic Knots stitched all in ecrus and creams.  The design was intended for a ring bearer's pillow, but when the bride and groom to be decided not to use a ring bearer pillow, the stitcher had this piece framed. It's gorgeous!
https://www.stitchingbitsandbobs.com/cgi-bin/Store/showimage.cgi?LauraJPerinDesigns0CelticKnots1200

Laura herself has been thinking weddings.....
http://two-handedstitcher.blogspot.com/2012/08/olympic-stitching.html

There's always the DIY ring bearer pillow.  You can get help for a custom design, too.
http://poptasticbride.com/2012/02/custom-ring-pillows/#.UB-4hkLhD9M

Or you can use this and change the names.
http://www.bethrussellneedlepoint.com/needlepoint/royal-wedding.htm

Then there is this, which will be perfect for the right couple.
http://www.etsy.com/listing/91679280/wedding-gift-counted-cross-stitch-im?ref=sr_gallery_41&ga_includes%5B0%5D=tags&ga_search_query=wedding+needlepoint&ga_page=5&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery

And this.
http://www.etsy.com/listing/96245485/will-you-marry-me-proposal-pillow-ring?ref=sr_gallery_7&ga_includes%5B0%5D=tags&ga_search_query=wedding+needlepoint&ga_page=6&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery

Well, you get the idea.  I'll stop now before I get too silly!

Premax Scissors Reviewed

If you are in the market for a relatively inexpensive pair of scissors with pick googly "eyes", have I got a review for you!
http://www.needlenthread.com/2012/08/embroidery-scissors-by-premax.html

Seriously, I have the upmost respect for Mary Corbet, so if she says this is a good inexpensive pair of scissors, I believe her.  If you are looking for a good pair that won't hit you in the pocketbook if they are lost or confiscated by the airlines when you travel, this might be a good purchase.

They are cute as an ugly bug, too!

Historic House, Complete with Needlepoint

This historic Missouri river house is full of needlepoint in the parlor, thanks to the owner's keen eye.  Richard's restored house is a museum and showcase for his antiques business.  Most of the needlepoint is antique but occasionally you'll see something he stitched for the house.  These two articles showcase needlepoint in the ladies' parlor.

Well, this is enough vintage needlepoint for today.  Richard's blog is fascinating to read for all the information about the history behind antiques. Thanks for pointing me her, Whitney.   I am sorry that my mother is too frail to visit his house.  She would absolutely love every inch!

Packing for Philly? UPDATED

As a reminder, Rittenhouse Needlepoint is very close to the site of ANG's Seminar in Philadelphia.  They are normally closed on Mondays but check their Seminar schedule.
http://rittenhouseneedlepoint.com

UPDATE:  Here's the Rittenhouse Seminar schedule.
http://us2.campaign-archive2.com/?u=9b9b7549e5c8f818070e0508c&id=ec71df774f

Fireside is planning all sorts of special events, and so...
http://www.firesidestitchery.com/fs/News/index.cfm?fuseaction=GETPHILLYANG2012

...is Nimble Needle.  I understand Nimble Needle is in Haddonfield, NJ, only about 2 blocks from the commuter train to Haddonfield.  They are offering a twenty percent off discount for ANG Seminar visitors.
http://thenimbleneedle.blogspot.com/p/shop-events.html

Besides all the wonderful needlepoint shops that are planning special events for ANG Seminar attendees, there are other shops I've had recommended in the Philly area.  About a quarter mile from Nimble Needle in Haddonfield is Woolplay, a very nice knitting shop that carries a lot of interesting original patterns and the wools to execute them with.
http://www.woolplay.com

There is a knitting shop close to Fireside, too. It is on the same street (Lancaster Avenue, also Route 30), but about 7 miles closer to Philadelphia.  http://www.froufrouyarns.com

Before I forget, the CH Stitch Guides blog has a new article up, on Vicky DeAngelis' plans to develop a stitch guide at Seminar.  Just ride the magic carpet over and back by clicking on the magic carpet photo on the right side of the page.

Everybody who is going to Philly, remember to have fun and come home safe!

A Duet of Pears

Pears seem to be a very popular fruit in needle art these days. I just watched Beverly Churchfield's stitch guide for Vintage Pears (by Melissa Shirley) go for $60+ on eBay, and Kelly Clark pear ornaments were turned into a monthly club last year.
http://melindaslivingthegoodlife.blogspot.com/2011/03/fall-trees-wrap-up.html

http://kellyclarkneedlepoint.com/pears

There are pear ornaments available with a velvet leaf for finishing, pear Christmas stockings, pear topiaries, and more!  Plus who could forget Ruth Schmuff's pear collage mystery class?  The model is just back from the framer's.
http://www.notyourgrandmothersneedlepoint.com/2012/08/what-difference-frame-makes.html

Now there is a new pears design available as a class from Terry Dryden.  Take a look at Pear Duet!
http://www.terrydryden.com/-blog/2012/8/7/pear-duet.html

I don't know where this will be taught in 2013 but I hope it will become widely available once Terry retires it from teaching.

Goldwork: A Review

Janet Granger, who creates miniature kits for dollhouse enthusiasts, has an informative review of a new goldwork book on her website.  I think the Elizabethean needlebook project looks especially gorgeous, but you may be attracted to something else.  I am not certain based on the review if this is a good book for beginners but I think anyone will learn something from it.   This is a British publication but it is available on Amazon.com for those in the U.S.A.

Shapes Three!

Sandy Arthur's third Shapes book, "Corners, Hexagons, Ovals and Parallelograms," is now available!
http://needlepointtalk.net/2012/08/17/shapes-series-3#utm_source=feed&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=feed

The first two Shapes books are available on iTunes but not the third, at least not yet.  (I just checked.)  New Needlepoint quotes the Needle Pointer's review which explains how this book differs from the first two.  If your local shop doesn't stock books or you don't have a local, you can pick it up from Marianne's online bookstore.

Ideas and Trends

I gather ideas from all over the Internet for my stitching. Sometimes they are practical--like this article Mary Corbet wrote about how some thread types work well with others and how some thread types are not right for certain stitches or effects.  (Personally, I love wool for bullions but I've never looked at my finished bullions under a microscope!)
http://www.needlenthread.com/2012/07/wool-thread-silk-thread-good.html

Sometimes they are more abstract--like this Janet Perry article about how dimensional (or 3-D) needlepoint is a great way to stitch pieces you can finish and use in your home.
http://www.nuts-about-needlepoint.com/3-d-needlepoint-is-it-a-trend/

Speaking of trends, want to be trendy?  Here's a fun shoe embellishment idea.  (Thanks for the link, Kreinik!)
http://www.dreamalittlebigger.com/craft/2012/7/17/neon-doodle-embroidery-super-kicks.html

Want to be retro?  How about these Mid-Century modern chairs with NP backs?
http://dmc-threads.com/needlepoint-inspiration/

Regardless of the practicality of the ideas above, they show how important the Internet is to the spread of stitching ideas across the World of Needlepoint.

Need Magnification?

None of us are getting any younger, aren't we?  More fabulous maybe, but our eyes might need a little assistance now and then. BeStitched recommends this light/magnifier they sell.  They've included tips that pertain to any light/magnifier combination, too.

Since we are talking silk ribbon, I wanted to mention an interview iwth Di Van Kiekerk that Trish Burr did on her blog.  Mrs. Van Kiekerk is famous for her books on ribbon embroidery.  I did not know she did DVDs as well.

River Silks

The River Silks blog likes to show off stitching using their lovely silk ribbons. I have just as much fun looking at them since I really like their ribbons which come in lovely colors and are durable and easy to stitch with.  Recently I discovered a dyelot difference between two cards of the same color but my original card was quite old and might have faded since it was stored in a sunny room.  Since I was doing leaves, two slightly different shades of green didn't matter to me.  Just be warned if color changes matter--Get enough ribbon for your project since the River Silks 4mm ribbon I like to use on 18 count only has five yards on each card and that runs out fast when you are creating flowers.

Back to the eye candy--aren't these Shivering Sheep grasshoppers darling?

Today I have a collection of lovely finished pieces for you to enjoy. First, an antique Bargello piece from the EGA collection that they charted a few years back for their magazine.

Robin King recently got a photograph from one of her students of class pieces that won ribbons at Woodlawn.  What a thrill!  Actually I've had the pleasure of seeing some of Lori's work at her shop, Waste Knot.  Trust me, Robin, the photos don't do these justice.

Needle Bug has two bracelets, and a purse just back from the finisher.  The bracelets are from a Julia Snyder class but I'm not sure about the Melissa Shirley purse.

BREAKING NEWS: Marilyn Levitt-Imblum Has Died

I heard the sad news this morning that the Cross Stitch World has lost a great designer. Marilyn Levitt-Imblum has died.  I only know her business manager announced her death on the Yahoo Group for her Told in a Garden fans and that she'd been ill for some time.  She also sold her charts under the Lavender and Lace and Butternut Road names and had a limited series of colors of floss under the NeedlePaints name (very pretty, too!).   I have never stitched any of her large, intricate designs but it is always fun to see them stitched at Woodlawn.  Here is her website to browse and enjoy her work.
http://www.tiag.com

Marilyn helped everyone stitching faces with her recommended DMC colors for various ethnic groups so that stitchers could change the look of the people they were stitching.  Here is the link to her Alternative Skin Choices,
http://www.tiag.com/background/altcolor.html

...followed by the link to her free Christmas designs, which have always been popular.
http://www.tiag.com/otherproducts/xmasangels.html

UPDATE:  Sandy said goodbye very well.
http://stitchinginsunnycal.blogspot.com/2012/08/so-sad-tiaglavender-lacebutternut-road.html

And so did Jeanne.
http://juststring.blogspot.com/2012/08/farewell-marilyn.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+JustString+%28Just+String%29

And Janet.

Not to mention DMC!

Unfortunately, her obituary gives no clue how important a designer and influence in the cross stitch world she was.

Disaster Prep in Florida and Elsewhere

One thing that is always in the back of my mind here in Chilly Hollow is being prepared for snow and ice storms, power outages and floods. We've had them all in the twenty years we've lived here and since we are quite rural, we have to be ready. There are very few services here (heck, cell phones don't even work here and TV is only available via satellite) so we are on our own when something happens like the 3 day power outage last month that hit during a heat wave, the freak before Halloween snow last October that knocked down dozens and dozens of trees, blocking both our driveway and the gravel road that leads to the main road, etc.  So I've been pestering Mary Agnes to talk about her Hurricane prep down in Florida.  She gives great advice for all of us in this season of extreme weather, even if we don't have to worry about a business with stock to protect.  The motto is Be Prepared.  I know we all have enough stash to tide us over but there are a lot of other things you should think about ahead of time.

My two best tips are to use LED lanterns that are bright enough to read by at night and to always have an old style phone that plugs into the wall since cordless portables don't work when the power is out and cell phone systems may be unavailable except for text messaging.

Many thanks, MA.  I do appreciate all the advice!   Staying safe is the first priority in a disaster.

Interesting Techniques from Japan Etc.

Most needlepointers aren't exclusively stitching with tapestry needles on NP canvas. Most of us know how to embroidery, occasionally do a bit of crewel, are studying Japanese embroidery, know how to knit, etc.   Even if we don't know much about other forms of needlework, we appreciate it and like to know more about how it is done. After all, lots of knitting yarns, stumpwork techniques, etc. have made their way from other types of needle work into the World of Needlepoint.  In the spirit of such curiosity, here is a story about an online eBook about icon embroidery, which involves the fascinating use of split stitch to create faces.  You can read the review and see if there's anything interesting to you and then follow the links to see more.
http://www.needlenthread.com/2012/07/icon-embroidery-book-free-online.html

Not everyone loves DMC colors in just the same way.  Are you familiar with Stephen Beal and his DMC inspired poems?  He does lovely embroidery as well but the only image I found online is the second piece in the second link below, from the Wall Street Journal.

Are you intrigued by Japanese Embroidery?  Then this brief description of a trip to a embroidery studio in Japan is right up your alley.
http://enbrouderie.com/2011/02/08/kyoto-adventure-japanese-embroidery/

Ever heard of kumihimo braiding?  This is a Japanese technique for making braids.  Recently Bedecked and Beadazzaled had a class about kumihimo.  There's even a video here if you are curious about the Top Right Down/Bottom Left Up/Turn technique Ruth describes.

I'm not sure this is actually a technique, but you will enjoy the special finishing that Quail Run arranged for this Nativity set.

Needlepoint Soothes the Soul

As I updated the Trunk Show and Sales tab with news of the Whimsey and Grace trunk show at M's Canvashouse, I happened to visit the designer's website and was struck by Toni Randall's  motto--"Needlepoint Soothes the Soul."
http://www.whimsyandgrace.com

If your soul needs a little soothing today, join me in browsing the whimsical masquerade masks, the elegant Christmas stars and balls, the silly "Fred and Ginger" gingerbread folks, the stately rabbits like Sir Edward and his pet black ewe, and more.

All Black Cats Are Not Alike

Proof of the above is on Ada's blog where she shows off how her little black cat canvas looks so different depending on the stitching and finishing.

Baseball Bargello

If you are a baseball fan, you might want to stitch this Laura Perin free pattern called "At the Ballpark" to celebrate the sport of America. You could even do it in your team colors!  Many thanks to Althea for posting about this and Rainbow Gallery for sponsoring this freebie.

Stitch Guides and Newsletters

This week there have been a flurry of articles on the Chilly Hollow Stitch Guides blog.  Since I had several, I thought I'd let them all publish, then let you know it is time to ride the magic carpet over to visit instead of publishing "there's a new article!" every day.   If you are new to Blog, just look in the right hand column for the magic carpet icon.  Click on it and you'll be magically whisked to the Stitch Guides blog.   The magic carpet photo is there, too. Click on it again and you'll be returned to Blog.

Since not everyone is in the market for a stitch guide right now, I've added Quail Run's August newsletter link here so that there is something for everyone.  There is a free stitch guide that talks about beading, a little article on suiting your needle to your canvas and thread, and a lot of wonderful photos of finished needlewor art.  By the way, that photograph of the pink faux leather iPad case is almost enough to make me buy one!

Biscornus and More UPDATED

If you aren't a counted thread person or a sampler fiend, you might not have heard of biscornu patterns. These are oddly shaped pin cushions and they are all the rage among the counted thread set, as Ada Hayden describes here.
http://eyecandyneedleart.blogspot.com/2012/07/biscornus-and-humbugs-oh-my.html

Kimberly is working on original biscornu designs (with matching original fabric) to be a monthly club at Needle Works in Austin.  You can see some of the patterns she is creating on her blog.
