Are you one of the folks bidding on the Joan Thomasson Holiday Spirit Wizard canvas I'm stitching that is on eBay?

If so, stop it right now! Buy from Joan herself. Even with $10 shipping you can get the full kit for almost half what the price is now. Click on Catalogue on the left, then look for Holiday Spirits and click there.

I might be a Master Enabler but I also want you to buy wisely.
UPDATE: This canvas sold for $96.99 plus shipping which probably was $5-6. Joan Thomasson sells the full kit for $56 and the painted canvas alone for $40 plus shipping.

I agree with you ... don't purchase from Ebay when you can purchase directly from the artist/originator.
We need to support our local artists/stores because they will be the ones we go to for our questions & answers. If they are run out of business because of "Pennies on the Dollar", who will we learn from next?
Robin's right. Besides the danger of paying far more at auction than you would getting the canvas elsewhere, you are letting a shop or a designer who sells directly down a bit.
Now I know not all of us have a lot of money to spend on our art and I understand if you have to do this occasionally, but try and support the folks who enable us to have the tools we need as much as possible, ok? They deserve at least that!
Hugs to all shops, designers and manufacturers from CH!
Jane
