The other fun news is from Needle Works which is going to have periodic classes with Kelly Clark in their shop. The first formal lessons (you can sign up for a canvas embellishment hour with Kelly separately) will be on stumpwork and ribbon embroidery. Click on the link to see the sampler details.
The Needle Works' September newsletter is up on their website also. Note the model photos of their pocketbook ornament monthly club and all those great books!

By the way, since Needle Work's online catalogue has a category called "Stitch Guides," I've updated the Chilly Hollow Stitch Guides blog with an article about this great shop.

I was very curious about The Needleworks new pocketbook monthly series. I wondered if they were going to be covers of books or the size of a paperback book (often called a pocket book). I went to their website and looked through their whole September newsletter and couldn't find it. I went back to your blog and re-read what you said. All of a sudden a light went off in my head and I could hear my Aunt Irene from Pennsylvania asking me to go get her pocketbook off of her dresser so we could go shopping. Pocketbook = Purse here in the Midwest. I haven't heard that term in probably 20 years, since my aunt died. It reminded me of some wonderful times with my aunt. Thank you.
