It's confession time in CH. I never really "got" the 3-D needlepointed stuffed animals. Of course I never saw these pictures.

Now I get it. These are fabulous! And perfect for the child in your life (or the child in you). Speaking of children, Squiggee has something I've never seen in painted canvases before --baby booties. The ones with puppies are too cute for words.

My final link is to Janet Perry's blog where she talks about finding the perfect thread to stitch a cloudy blue sky.

Jane,
I LOVE the 3D animals! I have done Brenda Stofft's bear and one by Patti Mann. I am currently working on a Patti Mann bunny and have a turtle waiting in the wings. They take a long time to do,but you can think of each piece as a small finish!

Jane --
Thanks for the shout out!
Keep stitching,
Janet
You are welcome, Janet. I think you hit upon the perfect thread for that sky.
Susan, thanks for the encouragement on doing the 3-D animals. I imagine they are great fun as they are sort of crazy quilt items and it must be really gratifying to see them made up.
