Cotton candy isn't just a treat I associate with the state fair--it's a brand of small, sharp embroidery scissors. They come in three colors (blue, lavender and pink) and have a plastic point cover and handles.

Lots of folks on the Facebook Needlepoint group like these a lot. So far besides Nordic Needle (link above), I've found three other places that have them in stock:
Amy's Golden Strand (apparently they are not on the website)

The Needlepointer has all three colors on their website. Here are the blue.

Lavender

Pink

Waste Knot (they aren't on the website here, either) I've seen them at Waste Knot. They look cheap (those plastic handles and tip protectors) but the FB group says they are sharp and great for travel or to use just to cut metallic threads.

It is possible that In Stitches also carries them. This is the shop just three traffic lights after you turn left on leaving Woodlawn Plantation's needlework exhibit so check there if you are interested after you see the exhibit.

I received a pair of these scissors from an Australian swap partner. I absolutely love them! I didn't know they are available here in the US. Thanks for the link. Now I can get a couple more pairs.
I totally LOVE these scissors! I have the pink ones, and they are so sharp, so precise, that they are almost always my go to scissors now. Need to go out and get the other colors so I can spread them around my projects!

You two aren't the only ones who have raved about these scissors. In person they don't look like much (the plastic handles don't look like they will be sturdy) but everyone loves them.
I'm another fan of these little scissors. A friend gave me the first pair almost 2 years ago now, and when I was at Nordic Needle in January, I bought the other two colors.
Good to know you love them, too, Arliss. I'm glad you've had them two years without anything breaking. When I saw them they looked pretty cheap and as if the plastic handle would break if I looked at it cross-eyed.
