Lois Kershener's "Circles"

Melita's ANG Chapter is stitching the 2008 Stitch of the Month project from the ANG website.

This is a Lois Kershener design and Melita's blog has plenty of tips for stitching it if you want to do it yourself.

Melita's done and made up as a basket lid. Note she is using different colors and threads than the alternatives Lois Kershener listed.

A Source for Lois Kershner Kits

I just realized Twisted Stitches in Albuquerque carries some of Lois Kershner's kits.

Lois is now retired from teaching but you can see more of her work here--

These are line-drawn and I think some of the backgrounds are lightly colored,  You'll have to supply threads but I'm told the shop carries a HUGE range of threads so they can probably kit these for you.

Breaking News: Lois Kershner is Retiring

BLJ's Mom from the NJNA blog visits California often. She recently was able to visit Lois Kershner's house, take photos of some of Lois' teaching pieces, and release the news that 2020 will be Lois' last year teaching at ANG and EGA.

Lois is offering her Threadscapes designs and a few more for sale before she wanders off into the sunset.  Browse here.

Your Landscape Photograph in Needlepoint UPDATED

If you've ever wanted to turn a photograph into needlepoint, then you will be interested in Lois Kershner's new book.
http://www.loiskershner.com/new_book

Amy Bunger says she'll have this up on her website shortly, so if your local shop doesn't plan to stock this brand new book, you can get it from Amy or directly from Lois herself.
UPDATE:  Here it is!
http://www.amybunger.com/catalog/item/8549797/9480941.htm

If you aren't familiar with Lois' incredible stitching, check her website.  She teaches the wonderful items in her Classes section for ANG often.  The slide show of her Classes is a wonderful way to spend a few quiet minutes.
