I've also seen a great tip somewhere (sorry, I can't locate the source right now) on using those metal cookie tins to keep your magnets. Open the tin and fill the inside with magnets, including the lid. Close the tin and it looks like you have a pretty display tin on your bookshelf. Now if I can only find the cookie tin in the kitchen...!
