Too Good for Pie

Ruth Chow's dimensional vegetables were the first 3-D canvases I ever remember seeing that were not stuffed animals (bears, elephants, pigs, etc.). They often are beaded and beribboned and are works of art.  Isn't Brenda's pumpkin too wonderful to make into pie?

I keep thinking what a harvest display all of these would make piled in a crystal dish or on a silver cake stand in a dining room....
